Labor trouble is an old trouble. One of the first accounts of labor tro=
uble
is given in the first book of the Bible. It occurred between the herdsm=

of Abram's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle.

e Day in
America. It seems so many of us take the day for granted and just=
let
it slide by without taking the time to honor those that made it
possible. I have recently done quite a study on the founding fath=
ers
of our nation. It amazed me to read of the lives and the Christian
testimonies of so many of the signers of the Constitution.
Of the fifty-five men that formed the Constitution, fifty-two were acti=
ve
members of their church. It is stated that Noah Webster, who wrote
the first dictionary, could literally quote the Bible chapter and verse.
These men were Christian first and statesmen that loved our country and
gave much to see the Constitution written.

Humor with a Message

A
man, down on his luck, went into a church which catered to the
"uppity". Spotting the man's dirty clothes a deacon,
worried about the churches image, went to the man and asked him if he
needed help. The man said, "I was praying and the Lord told me to =
come
to this church."
=
The
deacon suggested that the man go pray some more and possibly he might g=
et a
different answer. The next Sunday the man returned. The deacon asked,
"Did you get a different answer?" The=
man
replied, "Yes I did. I told the Lord that they don't want me in th=
at
church and the Lord said, 'Don't worry about it son; I've been trying to
get into that church for years and haven't made it yet."

Dr. Wood, "How do I qualify my prospect?"
Answer:
This is actually one of the=
most
important questions to ask about soul winning. As we have learned=
in
our class, we are to never assume a person's salvation. Even for a good
soul winner it’s one of the easiest mistakes to make. Too many pe=
ople
know the language but not the Savior. Nor is it inconceivable to believe
that on Judgment Day, many people who died thinking they were right with
God will find out otherwise.

name is Jenny. I attended the Soul Winning Seminar in August, 200=

the Bellville Velodrom, in Cape Town, South Africa.
I am just an ordinary born again Christian and felt so led to s=

with Operation Go, which I started at Southern Hills Baptist Church in
September, 2003 with only one lady (our elder's wife) for the first 13
weeks.
I continued for about two years and a new church was established in Kalk
Bay. The Elder and his wife (my first Student) are pastoring that churc=

I have been pastor=

Calvary Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee for 8 years. Our most
significant growth came when we went to two services. I did not wa=
nt
to do it even though the building was full. I was told it would divide =
the
church, etc. The Lord finally gave me peace, and we went to two service=
s.
One was at 8:30 AM and the other at 10:45 AM with Sunday School at
9:45 AM. Our attendance on Sunday morning has grown 200 and Sunday Scho=
ol
has also increased.
